DRUMMER SEEKING GUITARIST WEDDING DUO

Description

I’m a Portsmouth-based drummer looking for a guitarist to start a new project called Slow Gold, aimed primarily at wedding drinks receptions, private events and similar paid gigs. The idea is completely instrumental — well-known pop, soul, indie and classic songs reworked into laid-back, tasteful arrangements, with the guitar carrying the vocal melodies and lead lines. Think warm, groovy, recognisable music that sits perfectly in the background of a drinks reception without becoming generic acoustic wedding music. The setup would be deliberately minimal: guitar + drums/percussion, with little to no backing tracks. Because of that, I’m ideally looking for someone who is comfortable using a loop pedal live — building chordal parts, textures or rhythm layers and then playing melody/lead over the top where needed. I’ve been playing drums for over 20 years, including touring and session work, and I’m looking to build something that can actually get out gigging regularly
